Lake Olathe Bass Fishing October 7th with the Rage Baby Menace

 



Weather,64 degrees with a high of 72. Fishing in a cove with heavy grass along the bank. 
I used a Strike King Rage Tail, Baby Menace, with a pea weight and a 3.0 hook. 
            At first I thought the hook may be a little large for this 3" Watermelon Red Fla but it was
 just right for this1 pound 10 ounce Bass. I bounced this bait from 10 feet out and pulled it thru
 the bank grass. He hit this Menace about 6" from the front line of the grass. I am finding 
that the bass are hiding a little deeper than usual this time of year and sometime you just 
have to hit them on the head to get them to bite.

He pulled the jig deeper into the weeds and I immediately hooked him and the stalk of a plant. It was a chore getting this one untangled and on shore. A paddle boat fishermen came by to help pull it out from the front of the grasses.
