At the beginning of September the action slowed down at Lake Olathe. Fish being caught are 1-pound and under. This one was caught hidden in the grasses, and didn’t bite until the jig was deep in the weeds. He pulled the jig deeper into the weeds and I immediately hooked him and the stalk of a plant. It was a chore getting this one untangled and on shore. A paddle boat fishermen came by to help pull it out from the front of the grasses.
